BROADWAY'S BEST: A Summer Showcase

Coming June 2021

Our Showcase 'Broadways Best' has been 6 months in the making. The show features an eclectic score of originally arranged music and dramatic excerpts inspired by some of our favorite shows from The Great White Way! Rescheduled for June of 2021, this celebration of Theatre through the decades is sure to strike a chord with Musical fans young and old. Bask in the Nostalgia of Golden Age staples like 'Carousel', relive Modern Classics from 'Les Miserables' to 'Chicago', and rock out to revolutionary New Age masterpieces like 'Hamilton' and 'Frozen'. There really is something for everyone!

Further information regarding the Event coming soon. The official date of the Event is yet to be confirmed and could be subject to further to rescheduling as a result of the current Covid-19 Outbreak.

ALL SHOOK UP: A Winter Musical

Coming December 2021

The music of Elvis comes alive in All Shook Up. Inspired by Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, All Shook Up follows a small Midwestern town that is thrown into a frenzy with the arrival of Chad, a good-looking, motorcycle-riding roustabout, who rides from town to town with a guitar on his back, blue suede shoes on his feet, and a song in his heart. Repressed by their conservative mayor, the town begins to come alive once more under Chad’s influence. Lovers meet, woo, pursue, and more, all in one zany night that will change the town forever. All Shook Up is a rocking, heartwarming tale about following dreams, opening up to love, and the power of music.

A NIGHT AT THE MUSICALS: In Aid of Children's Hospice Association Scotland

21st of January 2020

On Tuesday Night we braved the Stage for the first time as a fully fledged Society, performing to a packed audience in the SOLD OUT Barony Bar of the Strathclyde Student Union in memory of a beautiful boy, JJ Garvie. The Cabaret style evening featured relaxed solo and group performances accompanied by solo piano in lighthearted and sociable venue. We celebrated JJ through our love of Theatre and raised money for a cause close to the hearts of our members.

The Event raised £714.90 in aid of the Children's Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS) to support the incredible work they do for families in need at their specialized centers, 'Robin' and 'Rachel' House.

The event garnered positive success and was recognized as the University's Charity Event of the Year with the Society receiving the Astrid Years Award.
